WW Team Run Selection

    Chris Parkes: 30/03/99

Two selections are provided suitable for WW analysis

The hadronic selection is suitable for analyses such as the four-jet channel, where lepton identification is not applied

The semi-leptonic selection is the logical AND of the hadronic, electron and muon selections.
It is suitable for analyses in which lepton identification is applied.

                     Hadronic Selection

tracking selection

barrel TPC & (VD or ID or OD) >90% status known
fwd  1 out of 2: FCA,FCB >90% status known
( note VFT runquality info. is not available)

loose requirements on calorimeters
HCAL > 80% or varies during run &
ECAL > 80% or varies during run
Electron Selection
ECAL selection - >90% ECAL (HPC+FEMC), and not variable

Muon Selection
muon chambers - Muon chamber efficiencies rescaled in simulation
(the efficiciency rescaling correction is applied automatically inside WWANA
for loose or very loose standard muon tags)
HCAL          - HCAB,HCAF > 90%

For Further Information, and to obtain the run selection files for '97/'98 data
  see /afs/cern.ch/delphi/tasks/wphysics/wwana/runqual
The runselection files can be automatically read by WWANA
